My mental health and I have been learning to coexist for the past 20+ years. Back in my 20’s, I wouldn’t have taken self-care seriously at all but as I entered my 30’s, a new passion for wellbeing started and the rest, as they say, is history.

In 2015 I started to take a deep dive into wellbeing, anatomy, and physiology and have never looked back.

At the time, I was overworked, highly stressed, and exhausted. As a result, I suffered extreme burnout symptoms. I became aware that I needed to change my lifestyle if I were to bounce back from the darkness. It was then that I decided to retrain as a Holistic Massage Therapist and Pilates Instructor. It was purely intended to be for self-healing purposes. However, it wasn’t long before I discovered that my calling was to help others reconnect with themselves.

I was frequently told by my tutors, that I had a gift that could help others to heal paired with compassion for mental health. There is no greater privilege for me than to help others rediscover their peace and flourish, both mentally and physically to achieve balance in this chaotic world. 

Since then, I was diagnosed with Fibromyalgia and a heart condition. My training and experience meant that I could navigate those challenges with far more ease than pre-2015. I now call myself ‘perfectly imperfect’ as with all the will in the world, none of us can sustain any form of perfection as it just doesn’t exist.

That said, I’d love to share my personal and professional experience with you to help you feel as balanced as I now do. Even on those wobbly days.

I learnt that health is non-negotiable. It doesn’t matter how hard you work, or how much you put others ahead of yourself, if you don’t have your health, you can’t function and live in the way that you deserve. Health really is wealth.

It’s the foundation upon which our entire lives are built. The decisions we make today, whether it’s the food we eat, the exercise we get, or the stress we manage, will profoundly impact our future wellbeing.

Prioritising health isn’t just about avoiding illness. It’s about cultivating a life filled with energy, vitality, and joy. Every positive choice we make now sets the stage for a future where we can thrive, and enjoy the moments of happiness and fulfilment that come with living in a state of balanced wellbeing.
